Valerie Fund Children’s Center Patient Stories

On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, donors, former patients and team members gathered for a ceremonial beam signing and hard hat tour of the Valerie Fund Children’s Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital hosted by the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center. To start the evening, Jessica Carter and Zippy Cimino shared their stories of how they overcame cancer with the help of the Valerie Center team. You can hear their full stories below.

Jessica Carter,  future nurse, diagnosed with cancer at age 20

Zippy Cimino, cancer thriver, diagnosed at age 17

Through generous donations, we have raised more than $9.7 million toward our goal of $11.5 million to expand and renovate Goryeb Children’s Hospital, which includes the Valerie Fund Children’s Center. When complete, the center will feature eight open and private infusion bays, a private family lounge, playroom and much more.

Visit our Growing Forward campaign page to learn how you can join us and help even more patients like Jessica and Zippy.
