2016 Sponsorship Opportunities

Action for Distraction 5K: May 21, 2016

Action for Distraction is hosting its fourth annual 5K Family Walk/Run and Kids Action Marathon at Loantaka Brook Reservation, Morristown. Proceeds provide gaming systems, music and art therapy, and other 'distractions' for hospitalized children.

Nine sponsorship levels are available. Sponsor names appear in the runners' registration packets and on t-shirts.
  Survivor's Day: June 5, 2016

This national event is celebrated on the first Sunday in June. For over 15 years, Carol G. Simon Cancer Center patients and their families share an afternoon filled with music, food and entertainment.

Sponsor names appear in program materials for this event, which draws 200 people each year.

Community Health Day:
September 10, 2016
The Church of God in Christ and Morristown Medical Center co-sponsored the first “Family Day of Wellness” in 1996 to provide health education and screenings, as well as inspirational and fun activities for the community. Nineteen years later, the event is guided by a steering committee with representation from many faith-based churches and social service organizations. Community Health Day is held annually in Morristown with medical screenings provided to 500 participants. The event draws 70 exhibitors.

Sponsors who register by July 7 will appear in the program and flyer, as well as on posters and in press releases. They will also have a display table at the event, and their logo will go on the tote bag.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Alumni Picnic
September 2016
Each year, our NICU graduates and their families are invited to attend this fun-filled event, which includes food, games, pony rides, face painting, music and family activities. It's a marvelous opportunity for 400 families to reunite with their doctors and nurses and share friendship and laughter.

The picnic is free of charge. Sponsor names appear on the invitation, on the event website (where people register) and on event signage.
Healing Arts Coalition Conference: October 21, 2016

Artists, therapists, patients and caregivers are invited to the 6th annual community conference to learn more about Creative Art Therapy. A Morristown Medical Center physician will lead one of the conference sessions. Previous speakers include Dr. Christopher Lynch, who discussed calming techniques using art and art therapy for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The free day-long conference, which is held at the Montclair Art Museum, typically draws 100-150 people.

Sponsor names appear on promotional materials and event signage. You may also supply one marketing or advertising piece to be distributed to attendees.
Healthy Aging Seminar: October 2016 (exact date TBD)

This annual event offers older adults an opportunity to learn about senior health topics and community resources to help them live healthier and more active lives. In collaboration with New Vitality, a wellness program for seniors, this event attracts 125-175 community members who access physician lectures, complimentary health screenings and a health and wellness resource fair.

Sponsor names appear on marketing materials and event signage.
Artist in Residence Program: November 7-8, 2016

This program invites patients, staff, visitors and community members to participate directly in the creative process as an artist creates original artwork for the hospital. Over the course of a few days, 100 people contribute to the artwork, which will be installed in a public space at the hospital and seen by hundreds of visitors daily.

Sponsors are acknowledged in program materails and on a plaque installed next to the completed piece.

Family Fun Day: November 2016

Kids4Kids, the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center’s youth philanthropy committee to benefit Goryeb Children’s Hospital, is hosting its seventh annual fun-filled day this coming fall. The day’s activities – carnival games, a bouncy house, and other amusements – are geared toward children ages 10 and under. Proceeds benefit the pediatric inpatient unit of Goryeb Children’s Hospital.
Sponsors are acknowledged on event signage and on goody bags. You may supply one marketing or advertising piece to be included in the bags.

  New Vitality Program: Ongoing

The Rockaway Mall hosts Atlantic Health's New Vitality Mall Walkers Program held twice weekly in the morning before the mall opens.
