A philanthropic partner of the Foundation, the Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is a 650+-member volunteer organization established in 1893 that promotes high quality health care at the hospital through service and fundraising projects. These projects include the signature event, Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens, as well as WAMMC’s businesses – Bargain Box Thrift Boutique, hospital gift shops and cafes. These enterprises, along with additional fundraising events hosted by the Women’s Association and the Twigs (branches of the Women’s Association), have enabled WAMMC to contribute over $22.5 million to the Medical Center since 1985. Contributions have been made to the Child Development and Autism Center, the Joan and Edward Foley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Soothing Paws Pet Therapy Program, the Goryeb Kid-FIT Program, the Women’s Heart Program at Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, the Nancy and Skippy Weinstein Inpatient Hospice and Palliative Care Center, the Sameth Emergency Department Expansion, the Valerie Center at Goryeb Children's Hospital and the Head Family Inpatient Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Center.
